THE CHALLENGE

The McWhinney and Sage Hospitality teams came to AOR to help develop Dairy Block’s digital presence while the property was still being built. At that point, the goal of the website was to tease out information about the development project and support marketing efforts to attract tenants to the space. AOR was challenged with creating a website that could scale as the project scaled.

THE Approach + PROCESS

AOR approached this website project by starting with our website discovery session. This session included all key stakeholders and was an opportunity to not only discuss the immediate needs and target audiences for the site, but also define the functionality and content needed in the future.

Following the discovery session, AOR took all of the information gathered to develop a robust site map and content map outlining the hierarchy of content needed on the site. This then led us into the website design process. Following the defined Dairy Block brand, we developed website page designs that brought the feeling of the development to life online. Finalized website designs then led our team into the development of the website. All website functionality was developed initially with specific pages and functionality rolling out as they became available.

The OUTCOME

The site’s design and functionality provide a compelling experience that engages the audience, ultimately driving in-person visits. The scalability and flexibility of the Dairy Block website has become a great marketing tool for the Dairy Block team. It has continued to evolve and expand as the development itself continues to grow. As of today, the site includes tenant pages for all committed tenants, an event calendar, and more. As the development continues to expand, a greater emphasis will be put on outbound marketing, continuing to drive consumers to Dairy Block.
